Dejero’s rental solutions enable expanding LATAM partner network to deliver connectivity and on-site technical support to region’s broadcasters while in Russia

Waterloo, Ontario, June 12, 2018 — Dejero, an innovator in cloud-managed solutions that provide video transport and Internet connectivity while mobile or in remote locations, is working with its Latin-American (LATAM) channel partners to support broadcasters from the region, such as Viacom and ESPN, in their coverage of the most widely viewed and followed sporting event in the world, which is taking place in Russia from June 14th to July 15th.

Dejero has seen a steady stream of new partners join their ranks in 2018 in the LATAM region, including Protelecom Mexico, Tekchile Chile, WatchApp Argentina and Planatel Brazil, with additional partners in Colombia and Panama coming on-board soon. Dejero has been strengthening their presence in the region with the addition of a dedicated director of sales for Latin America, Rick Neumann. Neumann will be working with channel partners to bring Dejero’s video transport and connectivity solutions to Latin American broadcasters and content producers.

During the tournament, Dejero has teamed with their LATAM partners to provide rental solutions and services, enabling them to transmit broadcast-quality content to their viewers back home. Broadcasters will be using Dejero EnGo mobile transmitters, connectivity services with local SIMs, and have access to on-the-ground technical support throughout the duration of the competition.

“It’s a privilege to support our Argentinian broadcasters with reliable connectivity as they bring live coverage of one of the most popular sporting events in the world to their viewers,” said Ricardo Bevcic of WatchApp. “Together with our innovative partner Dejero, we are providing cellular connectivity packages with fully tested local SIMs, alongside 24/7 technical support, that simplifies live transmission from different venues across Russia in a very cost-effective manner.”

Given the historic success of Latin American teams at the tournament, and the massive fan following across the region, and the growing expectation that a Latin American team will be crowned world champions, Latin American broadcasters are committed to providing extensive high-quality coverage for their viewers.

“To deliver coverage of such a large-scale, globally-watched football tournament from 12 venues in 11 cities and spanning just over a month, our LATAM broadcasters need technology that is not only easy to use, but flexible, and reliable to ensure the shots are captured and delivered to their viewers at the highest quality some 12,000 kilometers away,” concluded Rick Neumann, Dejero’s director of sales for Latin America. “Our rental solutions greatly simplify the logistics of securing equipment and wireless connectivity, and provide peace of mind with local support, giving broadcasters the edge over the competition.”

Camera-mounted, vehicle-mounted, or in a backpack, EnGo is ideal for newsgathering, sports coverage, and live event broadcasting from remote locations while in motion. Since its launch, EnGo has been used extensively by field crews to deliver live reporting from major sporting events including the European football championships in France, the summer games in Rio and most recently, the winter games in Pyeongchang.
