Mobile transmitters, cloud-based video over IP distribution and convenient apps for iOS devices at heart of Dejero LIVE+ platform demonstrations on Ideal Systems’ stand
WATERLOO, Ontario — February 13, 2017 — Dejero, an innovator in cloud-managed solutions that simplify the transport of live video and real-time data across remote or mobile IP networks, is making its biggest Middle Eastern trade show appearance to date at the CABSAT 2017 trade show (Dubai World Trade Centre, 21 – 23 March, stand F2-30, hall 2), showcasing its latest developments in IP connectivity solutions for electronic newsgathering (ENG) and remote broadcasting on the stand of its partner Ideal Systems.
“We look forward to presenting our enhanced LIVE+ platform to broadcast professionals in the region seeking nimble, compact equipment for content transmission on the go,” said Arco Groenenberg, Senior Vice President Global Sales at Dejero. “Along with our partner Ideal Systems, we are addressing a pressing need in the Middle East around flexible remote broadcasting from all types of areas, some of which present very challenging network conditions. We are confident that we are offering the strongest remote broadcasting solution on the market at this time, one that will save broadcasters time and money.”
This will be the first showing in the Middle East of the enhanced version of the LIVE+ EnGo mobile transmitter. Camera mounted or wearable, EnGo encodes high-quality video and transmits it over multiple IP networks to reliably deliver exceptional picture quality with extremely low latency whatever the condition of the network.
New features of the EnGo include global roaming packages, and the capability to transmit multichannel audio. The updated global roaming capability enables users to either lease a dedicated roaming unit or add a roaming standby option to their existing LIVE+ EnGo transmitter. The recently-introduced user-changeable SIM module allows a field operator to quickly and easily switch up to six SIMs in a LIVE+ EnGo to match the local cellular network environment.
Complementing its existing EnGo sling bag, Dejero is showcasing the new EnGo backpack solution for the first time at CABSAT.
Also in the spotlight this year is the LIVE+ GoBox, a rugged mobile transmitter designed for newsgathering and video contribution professionals on the go. It enables users to broadcast live from virtually anywhere with bonded cellular, Wi-Fi and portable satellite connections, record up to 40 hours of HD video for later broadcast or transmit while in motion. GoBox will be running alongside the 1U LIVE+ VSET adaptive bitrate encoder/transmitter, which can be installed in news gathering vehicles or at fixed locations.
Visitors will also see how LIVE+ Multipoint, a cloud-based professional video over IP distribution network, enables broadcasters and media companies to send a broadcast-quality live stream from a source location to multiple locations simultaneously, with known and controlled latency at each end point. LIVE+ Multipoint can also be used to exchange recorded content between studios. New capabilities on show for the first time at CABSAT include multichannel audio and closed captioning. Group and single event point-to-multipoint packages are now available in addition to a fully customized, unlimited use package for multipoint-to-multipoint content sharing scenarios.
And finally, designed for mobile journalists and professional video contributors, the Dejero LIVE+ Mobile App for iPhone and iPad is ideal for covering breaking news, impromptu interviews and live events. The easy to use app enables broadcasters to dramatically expand the number of video contribution sources to go live from within seconds. Meanwhile, the LIVE+ NewsBook for Mac software offers solo video journalists, international correspondents and field reporters that need to travel light with an affordable, versatile and simple way of increasing remote newsgathering or live streaming capabilities.
