At Dejero, employee happiness and overall well-being is something we all strive for. While we work hard, we are continually looking for ways to encourage our employees to be mindful of finding balance in their careers and overall health. Our passionate People and Culture team are proactive in planning and executing various initiatives to achieve these goals and we think it shows in the corporate culture recognition we receive.

With that, we are pleased to announce that we have been recognized as being an Employee Recommended Workplace by Morneau Shepell and The Globe and Mail for 2020. Through employee surveys, this award recognizes organizations for their outstanding efforts to promote and encourage employee’s overall wellness—in mental, physical, and financial capacities. The only award of its kind—based entirely on employee feedback—the Employee Recommended Workplace Award commends excellence in achieving a healthy, engaged, and productive workforce, which are all important facets of our #DejeroLife.

“We’re honoured to receive an award which places the same value on overall employee wellness as we do here at Dejero,” said Christine Vigna, our Vice President, People and Culture. “From our lunch and learns, to wellness weeks, to our gratitude walls, we are constantly asking our employees what they are looking for in a space where they spend most of their days. One of our core values is ‘have fun’, and by listening, encouraging, and engaging with our team, we really do hold strong to that value.”

This one of a kind award goes beyond other awards in the industry as it measures the DNA of the organization’s success by evaluating its employees’ health, engagement, and productivity, and ultimately the long term sustainability of that success. We will display this award with pride and let it continue fuelling our organization in ways we know best, through listening and supporting our employees.
