You think you’ve solved your home internet problem and then...

At CEDIA Expo 2024 in Denver, Colorado, the annual event for home technology professionals, system integrators echoed a similar concern - ‘I thought I'd solved this internet connectivity issue. But I am still getting calls from customers saying their internet is out- again.’

Chris Stevens co-founded CEDIA, the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association in 1989. He says reliable internet remains a major issue in both remote locations and even seemingly better served urban areas.

“The Internet is the 4th utility, like water and electricity. It must be available in a home, especially when clients are on videoconferences and managing a business. Connectivity is absolutely critical.”

And yet, the calls persist.

Many have turned to failover, load balancing or cellular bonding as a solution. But even with redundant network switching in place, momentary switchovers result in lost sessions that need to be re-established.

“You don’t want the internet dropping when you’re trading on Bloomberg, doing a videoconference, or even if it’s just your family and friends watching a movie or listening to music.”

System integrators tell us that approximately 80% of the service calls they receive are related to internet downtime. This problem costs time that could be better used to drive more sales and installations, not to mention it’s also a major source of aggravation and can even damage reputations.

Enter Dejero Smart Blending Technologyand its resilient and reliable internet service that’s already a preferred option for many public safety agencies across North America.

Bigger pipeline, better results

With a history of providing connectivity in high-value, mission-critical environments like public safety and live broadcasting, Dejero Smart Blending Technology addresses and enhances variable internet connectivity head-on.

Smart Blending Technology is designed to guarantee reliable, high-bandwidth connectivity by blending cellular networks, fiber, IP and even satellite connections from multiple providers to create a virtual 'network of networks'. It dynamically and intelligently manages fluctuating bandwidth, packet loss, and latency differences in real-time, providing ultra-resilient connectivity.

Dejero Smart Blending Technology means that if a connection drops or packet loss occurs, packets are re-directed across the other connections in milliseconds. It provides unparalleled performance with both downloads and uploads, and if any path is lost or congested, the blended stream remains unaffected - the client oblivious as sessions are not dropped.

The GateWay 3220, developed in collaboration with Dell Technologies, is a network aggregation device which provides access with two modems (1-5G and 1-4G/LTE), six cellular antenna connectors, two WAN inputs, one LAN port and two Wi-Fi antenna connections in a compact and powerful form factor. The GateWay 3220 aggregates diverse connectivity paths from multiple providers to deliver enhanced reliability, expanded coverage, and greater bandwidth.

In this way, Dejero effectively provides multiple IP networks as a single service. That means integrators are less likely to get a call from their clients about lack of bandwidth, or a network going down, because the system already compensates for those conditions.

System integrators in control

For those who bear the responsibility for network connectivity, Dejero Smart Blending Technology puts them back in the driver’s seat by removing the reliance on single connectivity providers.

With easy status dashboard tracking available for both residential customers and for system integrators, Dejero puts them in control of their installed systems, making their jobs easier and saving both time and resources. Fundamentally, it provides rock-solid confidence to all stakeholders, including clients and their families.

“Because Dejero's service greatly improves the experience of your installed systems, it also reflects well on integrators. Many of them are now looking at Dejero as the baseline for optimal internet connectivity for their clients. It works.”
