12 Days of Connectivity

As the world continues to navigate through this unprecedented time of change there is one thing that remains certain to us at Dejero, connectivity should never be an issue to get business done.

True to our beginnings, our team of experts continues to solve the toughest connectivity challenges for our customers around the world. Here are 12 ways Dejero is delivering on its vision of reliable connectivity anywhere.

1. One connection is not enough

For many organizations, staying connected is often mission critical. Having only one connection path leaves organizations vulnerable to having insufficient bandwidth to carry out key tasks, or in the worst case, downtime.

Dejero Smart Blending Technology simultaneously blends together multiple wired (broadband, fiber) and wireless (3G/4G/5G, Wi-Fi, satellite) IP connections from multiple providers to form a virtual ‘network of networks’. We dynamically and intelligently manage the fluctuating bandwidth, packet loss, and latency differences of individual connections in real-time. The result? Reliable, high-bandwidth connectivity when and where you need it.

2. The best of 5G

We didn’t replace 4G modems with 5G modems, like some of our competitors. We built our next-generation 5G mobile transmitters from the ground up.

The EnGo 3 and EnGo 3x with internet GateWay feature a completely redesigned RF and antenna architecture to unlock the full potential of 5G connections across all carriers globally. It integrates 4x4 MIMO antenna antennas which allows for broader support of cellular bands than its counterparts.

For those looking to maximize performance and reliability in multi-camera live remote productions, the EnGo 3x is be the right choice for you.

3. Nobody builds like Dejero

Delivering high-quality products and services; that is the Dejero commitment to our customers. We invest in rigorous testing and a robust certification process to ensure our products offer unparalleled value and connectivity anytime and anywhere.

4. Minimize risk, maximize uptime

Dejero WayPoint receivers reconstruct video transported over multiple connections from Dejero transmitters, decode HEVC or AVC, and output to your desired SDI or IP-based workflows.

Engineered for reliability, WayPoint 3 and 204 use industry-proven power supplies and front-access 1 TB hard drives with RAID protection for both power and storage redundancy.

The WayPoint 3 also receives video in resolutions up to 4K UHD to help you broadcast sports, live events, and film productions in the highest picture quality.

5. Talented team, cool people

We are proud of the culture we have built at Dejero. Our teams are made up of intelligent, talented, creative minds and it’s their combined expertise and positive attitude that help take our solutions to the next level. We have won many awards in both technical and workplace categories. In 2022, for the fifth year in a row, Dejero received top marks as a Great Place to Work®.

6. Enhanced security

We take the security of your content seriously. Our new GateWay infrastructure design boasts a cryptoprocessor to authenticate hardware, a security-hardened Linux operating system, and AES256 encryption — the strongest and most robust commercially-available encryption standard. This also allows our mobile transmitters, EnGo 265 and the EnGo 3 and 3x, and our newest receiver, WayPoint 3, to keep your content secure when transported over public internet links.

7. Innovative spirit and culture

Innovation and entrepreneurship are at the heart of the culture at Dejero. This past September, broadcasters knew the world would be watching the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. To deliver unbreakable connectivity, Dejero developed a private network using its GateWay network aggregation at a base camp in London’s Hyde Park to top-blend 4G cellular with satellite from Starlink. That was the first time combining Starlink with cellular for backhaul for a live production.

8. Anytime and anywhere

Power and flexibility, Dejero Control is a cloud-based management system that allows users to centrally manage your Dejero equipment from a web browser. Control is an easy-to-use tool that has the ability to dramatically enhance the efficiency of your operations. You can geolocate and remotely control transmitters as well as configure routers, receivers, and Cloud Servers. With Control you can view performance data, preview low-latency feeds, and route your live or recorded content to playout and online delivery workflows.

9. Going above and beyond

We want you to get the best out of your Dejero technology. That’s why we offer 24/7 access to our technical experts by phone or email. Our support team provides prompt, skilled and friendly assistance with emergency technical support, product configuration and troubleshooting as well as operator training, to name a few.

10. Ultra-low latency

Whether deployed in the cloud or on-prem, racked in a vehicle, rapid deploy cart or server room or even body-worn for ultimate mobility; Dejero has you covered. You can transmit high-quality live video with glass-to-glass latency as low as 0.5 seconds over bonded cellular connections. Integrated Smart Blending Technology™ intelligently combines multiple network connections in real-time for enhanced reliability, expanded coverage, and greater bandwidth capacity.

11. We build with you in mind

The evolution of our research and development (R & D) starts with our customers and their needs. We have grown our solutions capacity thanks to their feedback as well as tapping into the evolution of technology advances.

We have built cross-functional, self-managed agile software teams that have all the skills needed to implement, test, and deliver a feature end-to-end in a product. Our R & D team works with product management to maintain a prioritized backlog of features that are reviewed regularly. On the hardware side, we have built a team of RF and systems-design experts and a capable network of partners and suppliers. This allows for swift scale up and growth.

12. All-remote, all-star

What do you get when you mix together dynamic Dejero products and leading international production company, Quality? Together, they delivered the first all-remote multi-sport production in television history.

100+ EnGo mobile transmitters and 30+WayPoint receivers were  deployed at the XII South American Games in Paraguay. This remote workflow offered flexibility to teams while delivering a high-quality global event. It also amounts to a savings of approximately $2.5 million USD.
